The US Report bids 2009 adieu, looks ahead to 2010

As we wrap our final coverage for 2009, we send best wishes to you and yours for a prosperous, peaceful 2010. If a major story breaks over the holiday weekend—we’ve noticed this administration likes to break stories at such times—we will post commentary. Otherwise, we’ll be celebrating the last sweet days of our holiday season.

Meanwhile, if you’re looking for something to entertain, here are a few stories we’ve done that have drawn many visitors.

Our Dec. 18 story covered the plight of Capt. Carl Bjork, accused by Iraqi detainees of ordering them to murder fellow Iraqis. It took the U.S. Army 3 years to take action on these questionable allegations against a soldier who, by all accounts, should be hailed as a hero. Read more about Capt. Bjork and learn how you can support him. While you’re at it, read about the ridiculous charges against 3 Navy SEALs and how you can support them as well. It appears to us our soldiers are stymied by our own government in this war.

Who’s got the biggest mouth in the Democrat Congress? Find answers about a congressman some describe as “nuts” in our Dec. 28 column.

Among our stories on the military is an article about The Mighty Thor. Read more to see why this hero received the nation’s highest honors.

Florida is getting sued over our graduation rate. What’s the real reason the U.S. education system fails so miserably? We have a few opinions in our November column.

Illegal workers only take jobs Americans won’t take, right? Read a column that pops that myth.

If you’re really into reading commentary, use the Archive Search at the top left of this page to find other columns about Congress, trends, politics and U.S. lifestyles.

Finally, we hope your champagne retains its bubbles and your evening celebrations are safe.

Happy New Year from all of us at The US Report, including Frahnk the pink flamingo!
