UN wants Gaza probe of Israel, overlooks need for 'activists' probe

by Kay B. Day

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon wants to investigate Israel’s “raid” on a ship the group Free Gaza used to attempt to break Israel’s blockade. Israel is telling the UN the investigation is a no-go.

Meanwhile as conservatives raise more and more questions about the so-called aid group, there’s a trickle of activism in big media.

That trickle excludes “queen” of the White House Press Corps Helen Thomas, of course. She is in line with a leading voice of Free Gaza, Greta Berlin.

Thomas said Jews should go back to Germany and Poland. Never mind the worldwide push to kill Jews and run them out of every country they’ve lived in since time immemorial. Get thee to a history book, Ms. Thomas.

Berlin, described as a “media pro” by one organization, described her own politics to The New York Times, “[H]er detractors in Israel are right, that she does not accept Israel as a Jewish state, though she contends that is part of a larger philosophy which opposes all national borders."

Maybe Berlin can have a chat with Saudi Arabia about national borders if she opposes them so much. Or maybe she could spring her ‘no borders’ theory on China, Iran and North Korea. You think Berlin will orchestrate an aid flotilla to those countries?

The US Report was one of the first to question the motives and backers of Free Gaza. The “aid flotilla” was such an obvious propaganda tool, I found it difficult to believe the pass big media and their allies on the left gave these lovers of Hamas.

Free Gaza, like many such groups, relies on naïve activist wannabes for foot soldiers.

Indoctrination falls on fertile ground when political groups are looking for converts. One past example of that is the late Rachel Corrie. Another is the recent incident the UN wants to “investigate.”

Not too many are investigating terrorist groups who’ve successfully murdered numerous Israelis.

The UN would be better served investigating aid groups with ties to questionable political strategists who work hard to prevent peace in the Middle East. Better yet, the UN would be better served investigating itself. That organization is the worst idea a Democrat president ever had.

Israel has a right to defend herself in a world where many are obsessed with her annihilation and have been obsessed with annihilating Jews for a very long time.

As evidenced by Thomas’ hate speech, big media holds little love for Israel. That explains the pathetic state of so much coverage these days.

Otherwise, big media would be asking Berlin and her fellow Gaza “activists” who is funding their cause and to come clean on what the intentions of those funders are.
