You often get fired. Read the interesting story of Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinsky, a newbie Pennsylvania Democrat done in by President Bill Clinton in 1993.

Main Street may have it tough, but the State Dept. is getting $5.4 million worth of crystal. A Swedish company is smiling all the way to the bank.

Why does Argentina's Perito Moreno glacier grow despite climate change?

[NASA image, 2004. Astronaut photograph ISS010-E-5803 was acquired November 4, 2004 with a Kodak 760C digital camera with a 180 mm lens, and is provided by the ISS Crew Earth Observations experiment and the Image Science & Analysis Group, Johnson Space Center.]

The Associated Press, usually pushing alarmism over global warming in my opinion, announced Sunday that Perito Moreno glacier in Argentina continues to grow. The AP quotes a glacialist in Chile. That expert told them the obvious. Nobody knows why this happens and glaciers don’t all act the same way when climate changes.

This is a central problem with warming theorists. And a central belief among climate realists. Yes, climate does change. All by itself. Let’s figure out a way to respond to that with innovation and wise use of resources instead of coming up with a carbon trading scheme that in the long run will probably not make a bit of difference. The fact the US government wants to tax carbon dioxide should scare the wits out of any freedom-loving American. If you haven’t written your representative or senator about this, you should. And you should vote him out of office at the next opportunity if Rep. Henry Waxman’s (D-Calif.) lunatic bill should pass. And for the love of country, if you’re in Waxman’s district, please vote him out as soon as you can. He’s been there way long enough and stirred up enough mischief to last us at least another generation.

The Washington Times said, “The Energy Department's Energy Information Administration (EIA) said Wednesday that carbon-dioxide output fell by 2.8 percent last year, the largest annual decline in energy-related carbon-dioxide emissions since 1990.” Hopefully, some charts will get adjusted in the alarmist camp.

Nasa said, "Widespread recession of the glaciers in southern Patagonia has occurred over the last 30 years possibly due to warming of the regional climate. Contrary to this trend, Perito Moreno seems to be maintaining equilibrium between ice formation in the mountains and ice loss due to melting and calving into Lago Argentino." Note the words "possibly" and "contrary."

At least the AP told the truth about the glacier. Maybe Al Gore can check one off his melt list.
